Speaking to media, media strategy, human rights writing and reporting.
I am an experienced non-profit media and communications strategist, journalist, and human rights advocate with a proven track record of creating real-world impact through my work. I have more than 15 years experience with NGOs, non-profit organisations, and working in both local and international newsrooms.
My previous roles include Head of Digital Media at the Clooney Foundation for Justice and Senior Media Manager at Human Rights Watch. I have also worked as a consultant for the United Nations and the PEN/Barbey Freedom to Write Center.
I started my career in local news at a daily newspaper in the UK. I then moved to Al Jazeera as a reporter, digital producer, and editor. I have worked as a freelance reporter and photographer in Ukraine and have also reported from Mongolia, Afghanistan, and the United Kingdom. My work has been published in outlets such as Al Jazeera, Middle East Eye, Thomson Reuters Foundation, and The Observer.
I have an M.A. in Human Rights from the University of London, and taking a human rights-based approach to all my work is at the core of what I do.

For work that requires specific online hours, I am currently available in the European mornings. I am also available for short, medium, and long-term projects with flexible timings and deadlines.
